We are open to a wide range of interpretations, professions, and locations, but we are only interested in work from a teacher’s perspective about teaching. For a deeper understanding of what we are looking for, please refer to our publications!

We only accept submissions via gmail as a Microsoft Word .doc or .docx at Porcupinesubmissions at gmail.com.

In the subject line, please state your last name and genre of submission, eg. 'LName Poetry'.

(Note: This is new in 2026!)

Please only submit once every six months unless we request more work.

We are an all-volunteer staff and cannot pay contributors at this time, unfortunately.

Please keep prose between 250-3000 words, though you are welcome to submit multiple flash pieces if they total 3000 words or fewer!

For poetry: 1-5 poems, no longer than 5 pages.
